The Riffle

The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Registration Authority is introducing enhanced information requirements for annual accounts filed through the Online Registry Solution, effective July 2026.

While the filing process and statutory deadlines remain unchanged, ADGM entities will now be required to submit additional structured information covering financial periods, audit details, financial metrics, employee data, and reporting currencies.

The update aims to improve the quality, consistency, and usability of financial information submitted through ADGM filings.

Key Highlights

1. Additional Data Requirements Introduced

Annual accounts filings will now include new structured fields across key areas, including:

  • Financial period start and end dates

  • Audited or unaudited account status

  • Standalone or group account classification

  • Audit information (where applicable)

  • Revenue and employee details

  • Reporting currency information

2. Expanded Audit Information Capture

Entities filing audited accounts will need to provide additional audit-related details, including:

  • Name of the audit firm

  • Individual signing the audit report

  • Type of audit opinion issued

  • Audit fees for the ADGM entity

  • Group audit fees, where applicable

3. Focus on Better Data Quality and Reporting

The move from basic submissions to structured data collection supports:

  • Greater consistency across filings

  • Improved reliability of submitted information

  • Enhanced reporting and regulatory analysis capabilities

4. Filing Process and Deadlines Remain Unchanged

Despite the additional information requirements:

  • Accounts will continue to be accepted upon submission

  • No separate or additional filing will be required

  • Existing statutory deadlines remain unchanged

  • Entities remain responsible for ensuring compliance with ADGM legislation

Preparing for the Change

Ahead of the July 2026 implementation, ADGM entities should:

  • Review the new information requirements

  • Ensure financial, audit, and group reporting data is readily available

  • Update internal filing processes to capture the additional data points

  • Refer to ADGM guidance and Online Registry Solution instructions when filing

The Riffle Takeaway

ADGM’s enhanced annual accounts filing requirements reflect a broader shift towards structured regulatory reporting and improved transparency.

While the process remains largely unchanged, entities should prepare early by ensuring that financial, audit, and operational information is complete, accurate, and ready for submission under the updated framework.
